The radiator shroud on my 70 cougar with a 351W had been broken since 1988. I measured my old one just to be sure and 20 inch is still 20 inches. I'm not sure why I waited so long. You do have to take the fan blade off to replace this but its easy and fun.

    Question
We have a 1967 Cougar XR7 in the shop with overheating problems. The customer wanted a aluminum radiator installed, so we ordered one for installation. I mentioned that he should also have a shroud, I'm looking at #19921 for this install. The car has a 351 Windsor in it, with R/H upper hose and L/H lower hose, so it looks like this shroud will cover that. My only question is, what size fan will work with this fan (#19921) shroud? Thanks Bruce at Clintonville Motors

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:

This shroud is for the factory 20" radiator show here: https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/340.html. We also sell the 24" shroud (https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/d784.html) for the factory 24" radiator for the 351 in 67 (https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/338.html). If the upper hose is on the right and the lower hose is on the left, that might be the radiator for the big block in 67 (https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/379.html). In that case, you would need the big block fan shroud (https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/d783.html).

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
