Used C-4 vibration damper for 1968 Mercury Cougars built after 1-2-1968. Transmission tail shaft must have the provision for this bracket. C4 transmissions with either 289 or 302 engines. Shown in the 1968 Chassis Assembly Manual on page 55, aka 4980 assembly. Two different styles of these are found on Cougar c4 transmissions. For 1967 both the XR7 and Standard model used the decal shown on this reproduction trunk lock cover. For 1968 only the Standard model used this decal as the XR7 and XR7G had their own unique center badging. *NOTE* You will have to apply the licensed by Ford decal to the deck lock cover.
