Here is the reasoning; due to the design of the 69-70 door, silt is trapped in all of the door corners, these tight recesses always have silt collected in them and when you add moisture you get corrosion. This kit was sold by Ford Service Departments back in the day for those who were tired of their manual drum brakes. This kit includes all you will need to convert your six cylinder Mustang or V8 Cougar / Mustang from manual to power drum brakes. Factory used exhaust tip from a 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E. Fairly good condition, has some scuffing on the lips of the tips and or scuffing on the bottom edge. Factory stamped C8WX-5C262-A. A 20% discount for purchasing a pair. 

Original NOS shroud with correct chocolate brown color and texture as what came on your Cougar the day it was made. The later shrouds sold by Ford were smooth, black and the "Barnum Fibre Co. Inc." maker lettering was faint. This is a wonderful piece for that concours quality 1969 BOSS 302 Eliminator or GT350 Shelby.Ford Part number C9OZ-8146-A

Great addition to that show quality FE powered early Cougar. Unlike the reproduction this has the original part number, BARNUM BROS. FIBRE CO. INC. lettering and FoMoCo insignia at the top driver side. This was one of the last units out the door when FORD discontinued them in the 1990's. This shroud was discontinued by Ford in the mid 1990's. It really is no different in appearance from our reproduction but it does weigh a hefty 2.56 pounds and the reproduction weighs 1.76 pounds. Nice rebuildable core of the Carter X 4441S fuel pump for all 1968-70 428 Cobra Jet engines. Has "X" casting, 4441S stamped, dated 10B9A, February 10, 1969. Kits available for rebuilding. 

Factory original Carter fuel pump that was taken from a low mile 427 GTE in 1997. The "X" pump was used only on the Boss 302, 427, 428 and 429 Cobra Jet, and Super Cobra Jet.

Complete used setup as shown, you will get the actual set shown in these pictures. This unit was taken from a low mileage wreck decades ago and carefully stored indoors. Every gauge and switch has been tested. This grade A setup is perfect for that low mile GTE, XR7G or GT that is unrestored and deserves OEM as opposed to restored or reproduction.
