Often when your fuel gauge is acting up, this is the culprit, not the gauge or sending unit. These fuel door Mercury crest emblems are a close to original reproduction. They are an economical alternative to brighten up the looks of the rear of your 1969 - 1970 Cougar. This crest was used on all models except the 1970 Eliminator. To remove your emblem we suggest grinding down the studs on the backside. To install the reproduction emblem you will need the 26120 trim clip.

Fuel tank filler cap for all 1970 Mercury Cougars with California emissions. All cars with DSO numbers 52 & 53 came with emission controls that vented fuel fumes into a charcoal canister. This is a non-vented fuel cap, and only fits the specific 1970 emissions filler necks.

Made from fuel resistant cork like original. This gasket is specific to 1967 - 1968 Cougars. We finally found the correct gasket with correct hole placement (our other version which is good for Cougar AND Mustang has five holes, so basically you would have to drill through the cork just like they did in the Dearborn and San Jose factories).Here's a good tip!
