The vast majority of hardtops in 1969 and 1970 had painted mouldings, but on two tone painted cars and the 1970 "Hounds-tooth" edition, chromed mouldings were supposed to be included. This is a core five piece set of front windshield mouldings for a 1969 - 1970 Mercury Cougar Or Mustang (except fastback). These trim parts need restoration as they are dull, scratched and dinged. They would suffice to make a car complete if you were wanting to drive it but in our opinion they are a step below "good" driver quality. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. You will notice the reproduction has a larger head (The two on the right in the lower picture are repros) than both of the used versions typically found on 67-73 Cougars.
