Reproduction rocker moulding / trim end clip for the Mercury Cougar. This clip is a steel clip with a wire like the original. These units are technically for the 1969 and 1970 Cougar, but they will also work well with the 1968 rocker moulding / trim. Ford part number C9WY-6510198-A. This is the metal rocker moulding clip that attaches the front and rear of the mouldings to the car in 1969 (except the Sport Special which only has them on the rear). In 1970 a Phillips screw held the rear end of the rocker moulding to the quarter panel on each side so just the fronts of the mouldings used these clips in 1970. Correct plastic rocker moulding clips with Ford engineering # C9WB-6510182-A, Ford part #C9WY-6510182-A. There are five of these on each side for a total of ten per car. These same clips can be found on 1977-1979 Mercury Cougars and Thunderbirds. Most likely they were used on other FoMoCo products. This kit includes all hardware needed for attaching the scoops to the rocker panels on the sport special rocker mouldings. Includes all screws and studs to attach the scoops to the end of the rockers, and to attach everything to the the vehicle.

Clean cores are required for this service, cores that are turned in for this service that are kinked, heavily pitted or mouldings with several holes drilled into them are not worth restoring. That being said, often all of the gravel pitting usually found at the front cannot completely be removed as it would result in a product that will be too thin.

Used driver side (left hand) lower rocker moulding / trim for the Mercury Cougar. There is a slight difference between the driver and passenger side mouldings and it is in the contour on the ends. These are not correct for the 1969 as the rear wheel opening was smaller in size and the 1970 had a factory screw hole at the rear. These 1970 mouldings are about 78-3/4" long. These almost always have one or two holes drilled in them are dull at the front due to road debris and have multiple small...

New item as of February 2021! These are sold as a pair, the mounting hardware kit is sold separately. These anodized bright dip mouldings are much closer to the original design than our Premium Stainless mouldings. They are side specific (The more rounded edge mounts towards the rear and the flatter edge mounts towards the front) and will not fit on a 1970 model (due to the increased size of the wheel opening) unless you delete the wheel opening mouldings.
