This plate attaches the 3/8" steel fuel line under the driver's side rear torque box, as it makes its way from the rear frame rail out to the rocker area. It acts both as a mount and as a protector from road debris. These were used on late 1967 to 1968 Cougars and Mustang with the 3/8" fuel line. Early 1967 cars had smaller 5/16" fuel line, and different routing (through the transmission tunnel), and did not use this part. Mounting bolts included.

Grade A mirror will have no cracks, deep scratches or pits. Will look right at home on a low mile garage kept car.

Fine scratches but great for the guy who wants original. The Reproduction does not have the II-DMI-6 lettering at the bottom like this original. You will have to carefully peel (roll back) the aluminum backing that is glued in place before gluing it in your mirror. If you use needle nose pliers and take your time it usually works fine. Yes, these were a dealer option available in the day. They cover the painted portion of your door sill that is not covered by the scuff plate. Great way to prevent scratches in your paint or hide existing scratches. Since they are made from stainless steel, you can polish them if and when they get scratched. These interchange left to right, they are a mirror image of one another. We recently did a side by side comparison of these so called "concours" sill plates and found very little difference when comparing them to the "economy" version... This Mercury script emblem is mounted onto the driver side fender extension. This is an original part still in the Ford box, engineering number on the back of the emblem reads C7WB-16098-A, Ford part number is C7WY-16604-A.

This adhesive plaque was placed in front of the shifter on XR7-G models with a factory installed four speed manual transmission. The XR7-G shift knob had a walking Cat on the face of the knob instead of a shift pattern.

There are several differences between this NOS decal and the good quality reproduction we offer. First off the red "7" is darker, second the "XR" is more brilliant, third is when you run your finger nail over the tiny raised ridges the reproduction makes a audible zip sound and the NOS does not, fourth is there is no adhesive backing on the NOS decal and there is on the reproduction, fifth is the reproduction is made of a much heavier aluminum stock than the NOS and lastly the NOS fits in the...

Rare Cougar only GT emblems. The Mustang GT emblems had different stud locations. These were used on 1968 Mercury Cougar GT models.  This emblem shares the exact same pin locations with the 1968 6.5Litre emblem, so the factory could punch holes and installed the tubular nuts in the fenders of all S and X code Cougars, allowing either emblem to be installed. The later run XR7-G emblems we offer are really quite nice, but they are all just a tad smaller than originals. This is almost impossible to detect unless you have a reference point. The lock cover does in fact provide a reference point in that if you use a new emblem you will have a noticeable gap around the perimeter of the emblem. Used stamped nut for attaching the tail light bezels to the tail light housings. This is a 8-32 nut, with a 11/32" hex and is intended for the 8-32 threaded studs attached to the tail light bezels on any 1967-68 Mercury Cougar. Sold individually, 10 per side, or 20 per car.Replaces Ford part number 45203-S.

New replacement J-nut or they are sometimes called U-nuts. These clip into those square holes in the fender aprons for fastening the fenders on 1967-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustangs. These clips are 5/8 inches from the hole center to folded edge. We also see the same clips with 27/32 inch spacing for fender mounting. Numerous other uses, we find this clip on the hidden headlight buckets on 1967-68 Cougar and XR7's.

This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

These little clips are what were used to fasten the dash face pad to the dash bezels on a 1968 standard or decor level Cougar. They are very difficult to come by and we have yet to find a suitable substitute. Rear seat belt bolt, four per car used in conjunction with two red washer / spacers. 13/16" hex head, 1-1/4 inch bolt with a 3/16 inch shoulder. Can be either smooth headed or have a Heavy or Light "A". There is another version of this same bolt with a smooth head and no markings.

Two of these clips per side are required to hold the interior padded pillar pads the the "A" pillars on your 1968 Cougar.Replaces Ford part number 381896-S2.

Brightens the engine compartment and looks sharp. Fits our big block finned aluminum valve covers (item# 26018) and others with the round push-in style opening. Requires a rubber grommet to fit into the valve cover, which is usually included with new valve covers.Does NOT fit valve covers with the "stovepipe" fitting (like our small block finned aluminum units) or factory valve covers the tabs for twist-on oil caps.
