    Description

Quality reproduction mirror for your 1967 - 1968 Cougar. Whereas it is not easily detected at first glance, the head of the mirror does have a slightly different contour than original. The base is spot on perfect and the controller, cable assembly are all excellent quality. The 67 style wand is no longer available, so this mirror includes the 68 style ball end wand.

Plastic mounting pad and hardware included.

*NOTE* Mustang mirrors will not work on a Cougar no matter what "they" told you!!! The Mustang base is at a different angle and will not allow you to open the vent window.

    Hole spacing: 4 3/8"

    Cons:

Very attractive product. I wish it fit the existing hole pattern on the door, but it did not. In fact, your product had a much smaller footprint, such that did not cover the existing attachment holes on my door. I ended up scavenging the parts I needed and rebuilt the original mirror. Works fine, but not as nice. My "fit" rating should be 0, but the website wouldn't allow it.

WCCC Response: Thanks for emailing pictures of your car, it's clear that the mirror you had on your door was from a Mustang, which has a different base, and someone put holes in the wrong place on your door to make it fit. If your Cougar still had its original mirror, this new mirror would be a perfect fit. We've installed them many times. This is unfortunate in your case because there's no easy way to fix your door, other than welding up the incorrect holes.

I installed my new drivers side remote mirror on my 1967 Cougar today. I am impressed with the quality, fit and the overall appearance of the chrome. This mirror is better than the listing describes. It had the correct baseball bat type control wand for the 1967 Cougar and the kit included a new mounting pad and screws. If your mirror has dull chrome or a loose head assembly you'll be pleased with getting this mirror as a replacement.
