    I believe that the WCCC website incorrectly lists this for all 1970 cougars. This part may be correct for non XR-7 cars(I am not 100% sure though, as I only have my car and one other XR-7 that I inspected as my samples), but this does not work for my original XR-7 door panel. Mine uses the smaller retaining nut used on 67-68 cars. I returned this item and reordered the 67-68 one(WCCC Part number 26149) because it looked correct in the pictures and when I received it......A perfect match and fit. WCCC should correct this in the applications section of this part and the other part. It should state "Except XR-7" for this part and it should say "Also for 70 XR-7" for part 26149...
