    Description

These go into your door panel, behind the inside door release handle. High quality reproduction, no excuses! Sold individually, available only in black. Includes mounting clips. Fits all Cougar door panels 1969 - 1970. Unfortunately these are not good items to paint as constant contact will scratch. We have several sets of good used pairs in a variety of colors, contact us for availability. Replaces Ford part #: C9ZZ-65226A34-A.

"Don is one of the best guys you will ever deal with in the industry. When I went to buy my '69 Q-code Cougar Convertible I called in on the phone (while I was looking at the car) he stepped me through what to look for and even gave me an idea of what to offer. I don't know many vendors that will take an hour to help someone out like that. He only carries the best stuff that is out there. If it isn't the best he will tell you. He does mainly Cougar, but because 99% of the drive-train / suspension and some of the underlying sheet-metal and interior is the same as the Ford Mustang, he is definitely a source worth looking into for some of those hard to find parts. A lot of the hard to find optional equipment on Mustangs (Tilt, Rim Blow etc.) were a lot more commonly found on the Cougars. He has parted out 100's of them so he is also a good source for used stuff as well. Wow I am starting to sound like a commercial for WCCC....."

    Pros:
    • Quality
    • very close to original
    Cons:
These repro door cups are close enough to the originals that you can remove the chromed plastic surround and use it to replace the damaged surround on your existing color door cup. The repro cups are just enough wider to require some filing of edges and drilling the holes a bit larger on the existing cup. Just use epoxy to reattach.

These are a nice repro, but as described, it only comes in black. For my white interior, however, I prepped and painted my Door Panel Cups with SEM 15003 Phantom white. To give a bit of finger nail protection a couple of top coats of SEM 39803 Clear Chip Guard was also applied. So far so good.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
