    C8WY-6582-C  Pair of Cast aluminum running cat valve covers for 1968-70 Mercury Cougar or XR7-G with X code 390-2V , S code 390-4V, or R code 428CJ engines. Original valve cover, FE running cat valve covers were not side specific. One cat will face forward and one will face backwards on your Cougar. These are die cast aluminum not sand cast. Also note that these are tall pent roof valve covers, you will need the special double extended air cleaner snorkel if using these valve covers. None of the Hertz G cars would have had these installed, but it can be a nice upgrade for any FE based Cougar, meaning 390, 427-4V, or 428CJ engines.
