This is a plastic cushion, washer and/or spring between the lower knuckle and inner tube on a 1968 - 1973 tilt-away steering column. These have a larger diameter than the 1967 plastic cushion.*NOTE* For tilt column service, you can contact Tony Augustine at 6t8cougarguy@gmail.com. This clip goes on the upper end of your column and keeps your steering shaft from moving around when you pull up on your steering wheel.See item 31804 for new clip.

This part is located in the left front corner of the panel and has to be rotated inward to remove it from the guide rail so the panel cannot be removed. Imprinted on the plastic portion of the part is a Golde part number 100 414 645. Ford part number C8WY-65502L09-A

This white plastic spacer fits into the back of the right hand inner knob on cars without factory fader or balance. This is an exact replacement for a 1970 remote sport mirror. Nearly indistinguishable from a 1968. Obviously a larger ball and longer than found on 1969, 1971-73 remote mirrors. These interchange left to right, they are a mirror image of one another. We recently did a side by side comparison of these so called "concours" sill plates and found very little difference when comparing them to the "economy" version... There are several differences between this NOS decal and the good quality reproduction we offer. First off the red "7" is darker, second the "XR" is more brilliant, third is when you run your finger nail over the tiny raised ridges the reproduction makes a audible zip sound and the NOS does not, fourth is there is no adhesive backing on the NOS decal and there is on the reproduction, fifth is the reproduction is made of a much heavier aluminum stock than the NOS and lastly the NOS fits in the...

Of all of the XR7-G emblems we sell, this one may be the closest to original. This is a nice upgrade for your 1968 Cougar whether it is the standard, decor, XR7 or XR7-G model. The picture above shows the new emblem next to one pulled from a XR7-G parts car.

This adhesive plaque was placed in front of the shifter on XR7-G models with a factory installed four speed manual transmission. The XR7-G shift knob had a walking Cat on the face of the knob instead of a shift pattern.

Rare Cougar only GT emblems. The Mustang GT emblems had different stud locations. These were used on 1968 Mercury Cougar GT models.  This emblem shares the exact same pin locations with the 1968 6.5Litre emblem, so the factory could punch holes and installed the tubular nuts in the fenders of all S and X code Cougars, allowing either emblem to be installed. After waiting several months, these reproduction 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar Deck Lock (Trunk Lock) covers are now finished! The later run XR7-G emblems we offer are really quite nice, but they are all just a tad smaller than originals. This is almost impossible to detect unless you have a reference point. Very rare find as the vast majority of these XR7-G steering wheel emblems were gold plated. This is very different from the run of the mill used emblems we have all seen with the brass electro plating worn off. Regardless of what you have been told these emblems were never chromed. We do not have any of these in stock, probably will not get any more but we post this so as to give you a reference as to what color they should be.
