I watched the WCCC video on door glass adjustment on a 69, (a project I was in the middle of) I saw the rabbit trail of a loose door hinge and using this pin with a retainer and bushings. I knew it would not be as easy as Don made it out to be, but I recognized my own need for the same, so I order all the pieces. It was a little trouble removing the old pin, but the new one went in slick, almost as easy as the video! Thanks to WCCC for making the video and selling the components! I highly recommend it to fix a sagging door.

    Cons:
    • Worse off than before the install
I would not use these parts they did not fit properly. The pins in my door are two different lengths so if you are showing your car cutting one would be a solution but the pin diameter is not correct (too small). After installation the door actuall was worse off than before I changed it. I had to take my door off due to an accident so I thought I would replace the pin and bushing but after grinding the old one down and pounding it out with quite a bit of effort I had of course ruined the old pin and bushing so I had no choice but to put this one on. It has way too much slack. The door now moves up and down by 1/4 inch at the trailing edge making it impossible to get good gaps.

    worked great thanks

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
