D3AZ-17A812-A Front bumper guard rubber pad used prior to September 5, 1972, on a 1973 Mercury Cougar. The early front bumper guards had a narrow rubber pad early on. The rear flat surface measures 3/4 inches wide. Same rubber strip either right or left side. Hard to find without some scaring on the rubber. This pad is not nearly as common as the wider one which measures about 1-1/8 inches wide.Replaces Ford part number D3AB-17A812-A.

These later front bumper guards have a rubber pad that measures 1-1/8 inches wide on the flat rear surface. Same rubber strip either right or left side. Headlamp center shaft actuator rod clips. Sold individually, two clips needed, one on each side of the shaft. Not really needed, probably kept the shaft ends from moving during installation. We have found two different sizes of these clips. No pattern between 1969 and 1970.

This fragile little clip attaches to the bottom outer edge of the front fender extension and holds the tail of the aluminum eyebrow moulding to the extension, one per side. They almost always fail when you remove them, and to be honest, we rarely have them in stock. We do not list these hard to find parts to tease you, but rather for documentation purposes. This is the metal rocker moulding clip that attaches the front and rear of the mouldings to the car in 1969 (except the Sport Special which only has them on the rear). In 1970 a Phillips screw held the rear end of the rocker moulding to the quarter panel on each side so just the fronts of the mouldings used these clips in 1970.
