    Description

When ordering this item, you do not need to order a key blank, the key is included.

If you need more than one key, you don't need to pay for multiple key cutting services, just buy extra blanks and mention it in the comment section of your order.

We now have the ability and equipment from an old Lincoln Mercury dealership to cut keys for Fords "by the numbers". Instead of copying a worn key to make yet another key that doesn't fit properly, we can cut keys as they would have come from the factory. These are not copies, they are new keys! What we need to do this properly, is the number found on your glove box lock cylinder.

There will be an alphanumeric code 6-7 digits long that we can look up and determine how to set the key cutter to cut the proper depths. The most important part of the key code is the 4 numbers, they range from 0000 - 1863.

Sometimes the stamping on the lock cylinder is very faint and hard to read. Fine steel wool can help bring out the definition better but sometimes there is just no way to read the full code. In cases like this the best thing to do is send your key in with the partial code and between the two we should be able to produce a key for you. 69-73 trunk key codes can be found on the trunk lock assembly. The code may or may not be stamped on the glove box lock. When you place your order online please put your key code in the "messages" section when you go through checkout. Phone in orders have your code ready when you call to place the order.

"I got the keys the other day and they work perfect! Thank you for keeping my Cat happy. I will have more orders for you." - Jeff

Check out our video below showing how to easily remove and reinstall your 67-68 trunk latch, lock, and cover plate, and some info on getting a new key made.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...

I liked that I could see a picture of parts and that you could type in what you were looking for. What was handy for me was the ability to chat with Darrell. He was a big help. Also high on the you gotta keep on staff was Joshua, I had some issues...

WCCC makes finding the right part with the right fit easy. I love that they try to get great parts and when there are parts that don't meet their standard they WARN you up front! I've bought new reproduction parts from them, used parts and even had...
