    Description

Reproduction manually operated passenger side (right hand) sport mirror with a chrome base for the Mercury Cougar XR7. The XR7, Sports Special, and Eliminator never came with a passenger side (right hand) mirror from the factory, but we are offering this one to make driving your Cougar a little safer. The use of a chrome base is unique to the early production 1969 XR7, but that changed late in the 1969 production run when Mercury changed to a painted base like the ones used on the Eliminator and Sports Special. This reproduction unit will come with the correct chrome base, but the head will be in primer for you to paint to match the color car.

Hole spacing 6 5/8" center to center.

    Cons:
A great factory style looking addition that should have been done by the factory.
The chrome base matches the 1969 factory driver side version. I installed the rear mounting hole 35-3/4" from the back of the door and the front accordingly. This is about a 1/4" variance from the 1970 version but I was looking for the correct look and visibility from in the car. Watch the WCCC video on mirror installation. This was done very similar including the two screws from underneath holding the base to the mirror housing. There is some adjustability in that location on this mirror. The dimensions of the mirror housing is not exact compared to the left side but it may be correct for 1970. You would need a micrometer to tell the difference when installed! Beside the great look, driving safety is vastly improved. I have been backing the car into the garage for decades trying to be as tight as possible against the passenger side wall. So far so good, and this will make life easier with a lot less guessing and luck from getting a nasty scrape. WCCC shipped the order to my door with standard shipping in 4 days!. Pricing of the product was extremely competitive which is always a good thing. Thank you WCCC

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?
