1970 Mercury Cougar xr7

Installed this to the air cleaner lid as instructed, then carefully centered lid to the body and screwed down wing nut and left overnight. Now lid seals up good and tight…and centered every time!

i have not installed yet as my air cleaner is at the powder coat shop. looks to be a good fit and a proper seal though.

Perfect Fit

Came long enough to easily cut to fit. Didn't even use any adhesive as after cleaning up the lid, the new gasket fit snugly into the air cleaner lid groove. With the lid holding it in place and perhaps was just enough heat and adhesive residue that it sort of glued itself after an number of miles.
