This is the correct horn panel bezel for all 1968 Cougar XR7 steering wheels. The satin paint will need to be resprayed but the two mounting studs are in place and there are no cracks or burns. Unique to the XR7, identified by having the grey inserts. Used grade "A" bezel for the three spoke rim blow steering wheel found in the Mercury Cougar Eliminator or the decor equipped Cougar. This is the best of the best that we have in used and it will look mint.Ford part # C9WA-3D752-A.

Good used center with no crack, missing paint or broken mounting tabs. This was used on all 1969 Cougars with a three spoke wheel except the XR7.

Very rarely do we find one like this example that shows no sign of fading. This is for the person who is trying to achieve a very high level of preservation / restoration.

Regardless of what you have been told these emblems were never chromed. We do not have any of these in stock, probably will not get any more but we post this so as to give you a reference as to what color they should be.

This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. We rarely have an emblem this nice in stock for more than a few weeks of any one year as the tail was prone to breaking off as well as the "cats" other limbs. This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. The tail will always be broken and probably at least one leg is missing on this grade B part. While not an exact fit our 3 spoke wheel emblem cat will fit on this black background.

This is one of the smallest "Cougar" emblems ever put on a Mercury Cougar. Only the 70-73 two spoke cat and xr7-G shift handle Cougar was smaller. It is also the most delicate! Very unusual to find the tail and all limbs intact on this fragile little kitty. Silver spray paint will make this cat look new again, they did not have a chrome finish from the factory. Now that we have reproduced this emblem there is little incentive to purchase this over-priced used emblem.

These are cracked core wheels as taken from a parts car. The Center pad is not included and you can count on the rubber switch being rock hard. This restored three spoke, rim blow steering wheel was used on all Cougars 1970-73 except the Cougars equipped with standard interior or on rare occasion the 1973 Cougars that came with the rare 2 spoke leather wrapped wheel. The Cougars equipped with standard interior used a two spoke wheel with the horn button located in the center pad. If you choose to send in a core for exchange it will need to be a clean one as we will not restore steering wheels that have huge cracks, severe UV damage or...

Used Two Spoke Steering Wheel Pad for the 1969 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. Grade B pads will have minor scuffs and scratches and will need to be repainted. Keep in mind that the pad pictured is just a reference photo and not the actual color you will receive.  Leave a note in the comments section of your order and we will try our best to match your color.

Perfect condition with no fading, scratches or dents. When the emblem is pulled, you will see minimal difference between the area that has been covered for decades and the area that has been exposed. Very rare find indeed!

The horn switch is embedded in this soft part. Limited colors on hand, call for availability. White plastic is prone to cracking due to shrinkage and age. Most will have a crack or two. Ford part number is D0ZZ-13915-A

A grade pad has not shrunk to the point that the center section will not fit well, it will not be curling and overall will be pliable. We rarely have more than a couple colors on hand but if you state your preference in the comments section we will try to accommodate.

Of all of the XR7-G emblems we sell, this one may be the closest to original. This is a nice upgrade for your 1968 Cougar whether it is the standard, decor, XR7 or XR7-G model. The picture above shows the new emblem next to one pulled from a XR7-G parts car.
