    Description

If you have already begun to install or have installed this item, it is not eligible for return or refund.

This rim blow horn switch is made in the United States by Daniel Carpenter Mustang and is made from vinyl like original. When installing, make sure to massage the rim blow switch in place with counter clockwise, compacting strokes. Clockwise strokes (thumb motions) will stretch the switch and when you complete the installation you will find the part has become too long to fit in place correctly.

    Backside width 1/2"

I ordered this for my 72 Convertible. It arrived quickly and after watching the video, was relatively easy to install. My car was garaged most of its life, so I luckily did not have many hard spots or wear that many will encounter. I had it all together, but noticed that the end lead at the far end was about 3/8 of an inch to long, which was likely to result in a short, making it unusable in this state.

I called WCCC (do not remember who I spoke with) and explained my situation. I was given a basically three options; 1. Return it as it was defective (length only issue), 2; fold that end over and try to fit it under the bottom cap (likely to work, but not optimal in my opinion) or 3; cut the extra lead off and re-solder lead in a better location and dress it up for better fit under cap.

I decided on #3. The switch fit very well into the wheel, had already tested satisfactory with a multi-meter, so a quick solder relocation was a non issue with me.

Switch is in, done, and looks like factory.

With an old beast like these, sometimes a little extra is what is needed to get your baby back to good.

After taking the time to clean up the wheel and watch the video on installing , the switch went in very easy . It was just a bit long so I used some black tape to insulate one contact.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
