This hand held cart was used by service stations or garages to hold spools or bare wire to make them easily accessible when needed. There's a handy foot long ruler painted into it to quickly and easily measure lengths of wire. The design and style suggests that it could be from anytime between 1940 and 1970, making it a valuable collectors item for car enthusiasts.
Condition is used, but aside from obvious defects and patina (see photos above, random wire included), this wire caddy is in good shape.
