D3AZ-17A812-A Front bumper guard rubber pad used prior to September 5, 1972, on a 1973 Mercury Cougar. The early front bumper guards had a narrow rubber pad early on. The rear flat surface measures 3/4 inches wide. Same rubber strip either right or left side. Hard to find without some scaring on the rubber. This pad is not nearly as common as the wider one which measures about 1-1/8 inches wide.Replaces Ford part number D3AB-17A812-A.

D3AZ-17A812-B Front bumper guard rubber pad used after September 5, 1972, on a 1973 Mercury Cougar. These later front bumper guards have a rubber pad that measures 1-1/8 inches wide on the flat rear surface. Same rubber strip either right or left side. Hard to find without some scaring on the rubber. This pad is more common than the thinner 3/4 inches wide pad.Replaces Ford part number D3AB-17A812-B.

Good used base for the XR7G with no cracks. The Cougars equipped with air conditioning had the last few inches trimmed off. It is a rather rough, hand cut from the factory.  *NOTE* The base shown has been cut for AC.

NOS spare tire lock for the 68 - 73 Cougar Mustang and Torino. Spare tire locks were first offered as an option in 1973, but will fit on any year from 1968 to 1973. This used intermittent wiper switch has a two speed wiper function, but when turned counter clockwise, it has a rheostat that sets the different delay times. Switches can be physically marked with casting numbers of C9ZB-17A553-E, C9ZF-17A553-B or C9ZF-17A553-C. This original Ford service replacement hood scoop is the same as a factory installed scoop except that it does not have the embossements for the hood grille used on the very first Ram Air Cougars (prior to September 1968) and it has extra mounting stud receptacles for use on multiple applications such as the Comet GT and the Mercury Cyclone.
