This product is an NOS Part.
NOS items are OEM parts from Ford that have been sitting on shelves or in warehouses for years. These are often great examples of the orignal parts, but they may have scratches or other shelf wear.
However be aware that some NOS parts are "service replacement" parts. "Service replacement" parts are not exact replacements of the parts that were installed at the factory, but are what Ford considered as "good enough" and were used at Ford dealerships after the original supply of parts was exhausted.

NOS spare tire lock for the 68 - 73 Cougar Mustang and Torino. Spare tire locks were first offered as an option in 1973, but will fit on any year from 1968 to 1973. The ford master catalog shows that all years from 68 - 73 whether it be Cougar, Mustang or Torino all had the correct size stud for this lock to fit. Fits spare tire hold down J bolts with 1/2-13 course threads, common on Fords 1968-73.
