This Mercury script emblem is mounted onto the driver side fender extension. This is an original part still in the Ford box, engineering number on the back of the emblem reads C7WB-16098-A, Ford part number is C7WY-16604-A.

There are several differences between this NOS decal and the good quality reproduction we offer. Grade "A" doors have never been dented in, cracked in the door latch area or rusted in the corners. When you turn it over and inspect it, the seam it is not expanding from the inside out due to rust. There are no drilled holes for an after market impact strip and the sound deadener is still intact. Occasionally it will still bear the original paint but do expect multiple small door dings. You may consider buying our grade "B" door over our grade "A" door if you are doing a high end restoration. This was an adhesive emblem and has long since fallen off most cars or was removed when the car was painted.
