Inside door handle release mechanism for the driver side on base model standard 1972-73 Cougar and Mustang. This latch mechanism went through a couple of revisions by the end of 1973. Ford calls this part a 'control and link assembly', this particular one only works with the base door handles as shown in the photo. Unfortunately the wand is broken off from this grade "B" driver side (left hand) mirror. It will require drilling out the old one and epoxy gluing in another or removing the complete controller from another 1970's like mirror. Chrome is dull and often will have light pitting.
