Used factory 3/4 inch sway bar for the FE 390 engine of 1969. This bar was factory identified with a single 'Yellow' and a single 'Blue' paint stripe. This bar is not to be confused with the Competition Handling Package sway bar which was optional on any 1969 Cougar. This factory used front sway bar does not include any mounting brackets or end link kits. Ford part # C9ZZ-5482-C.

289 and 302 engines - with C4 automatic transmissions or manual three / four speed. Shaft diameter will measure 3 inches. Length 54-3/16 inches, measured on U-joint centers. Used rear leaf spring retainer for 1967 -73 Mercury Cougar with competition handling or GT suspensions. Additionally it fits 1966-71 Mercury Comet / Montego / Cycolne, 1966-71 Ford Fairlane / Torino, all with HD or GT suspensions. Identified with a stamped number "2" on the top. Good used axle vent nipple or tube. This vent tube screws into the top of the rear axle and is a breather / vent to equalize the pressure inside the axle tube. Fits both 8 inch and 9 inch rear axles. Used mounting bracket. This is the mounting plate for the end links on the factory rear sway bar. The tab for the end links are mounted forward of the rear axle towards the outside of the car. This is the mounting plate for the end links on the factory rear sway bar. The tab for the end links are mounted forward of the rear axle towards the outside of the car. These plates get sandwiched between the shock mounting plates and the Isolator clamps on your rear axle assembly. Sold individually and you will need two for the installation. These are the U-shaped brackets that hold the round part of the rear sway bar. These mount to the rear frame rail. All 1970 - 1973 Cougars should have these mounting holes from the factory, 1969 and earlier Cougars do not have these holes. Two clamps needed for installation.
