Description

Originally this style of Mercury Cougar cast aluminum valve cover was only available for the FE and small block engines but due to customer demand we have these "custom" rocker covers for those of you with a 351 Cleveland, 351M, 400M, 429 or BOSS 302 equipped Cougar.

The cast aluminum valve covers have a much thicker flange than stock valve covers, so the stock bolts will not work. You will need to purchase a set of longer stemmed valve cover bolts with these, as they are not included: Black or Stainless

351 Cleveland running cat valve covers

The valve covers fix perfectly, and look great on a newly rebuilt Cleveland. only issue was that you must buy new valve cover studs in order to secure these wonderful valve covers. Should note this when selling these valve covers, or provide them as an option when ordering.
