Many used items in our pictures have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail.

The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

    "Core" Items:
If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

Single cylinder head from 1972 Mercury Cougar with Q code 351C-4V engines. Sold as a core, needs thorough cleaning and rebuilding prior to use. Typically this cylinder head has 2.19 and 1.71 inch valves, and the chambers measure out at 75.4 cc's. These are considered 'Open Chamber Heads'. With stock pistons, these heads will net an approximate compression ration of 8.6:1. Basic cylinder head number is 6090. Several Ford casting numbers were used, including the common D1AE-6090-GA. "4" in the corner visible with valve covers installed.

Fits all 1971-72 Ford Q code 351 Cleveland 4 barrel engines. Not to be confused with the 351 Windsor engine or 351C 2 barrel engines.

These weigh 65 lbs. each, and cannot be combined with other items unless shipping truck freight.

Can I use these heads to build a Boss 302 engine clone?

I asked some of the Sales guys and they said:

The engine would have to be Frankensteined together. For the best options to do that he would probably be best to ask at the Boss302, Ford Small Block or ClassicCougarCommunity.com web forums.
