This stepped window trim clip is great for times when your stainless trim just will not click into place. These barrel nuts or clips are exactly like the original ones inserted into the trunk for attaching 1967-68 "Mercury" script, and 1971-72 Mercury Cougar "Mercury" Hood scripts. The manufacturer indicates that these tubular nuts fit 1/8" holes. Pin size on those emblems are 3/32".These clips are also used to attach the 1967 quarter panel emblems.

Used bolt and washer for attaching the crankshaft balancer or damper to the crank shaft. 15/16 inch hex head with 5/8-18 threads and 1.75 inches long. Basically fits all Mercury Cougar engines except the 1971 429 Cobra Jets engines. Fits 1967-73 289, 302, Boss 302, 351W, 351C, 390, 427, and 428CJ engines.Torque specifications for this bolt are 70-90 foot pounds.*Note does not fit 429 or 460 V8 engines or any 6 cylinder engines.

These original clips hold better than the reproductions we offer. If you look closely you will see the angle bend is more acute on the originals. For you 71-73 owners with warped panels you will want to use these original clips (at least along the bottom edge) for a tighter hold. The majority of the rocker moulding end clips we get look like this unit in that the stud is broken or the wire tensioner has been broken off. Putting a new stud in one of these clips is not a hard job. Sold Individually.
