Fine scratches but great for the guy who wants original. The Reproduction does not have the II-DMI-6 lettering at the bottom like this original. Yes, these were a dealer option available in the day. They cover the painted portion of your door sill that is not covered by the scuff plate. Great way to prevent scratches in your paint or hide existing scratches. Since they are made from stainless steel, you can polish them if and when they get scratched. These interchange left to right, they are a mirror image of one another. We recently did a side by side comparison of these so called "concours" sill plates and found very little difference when comparing them to the "economy" version... Very rare more common version of the XR7-G steering wheel gold plated emblem. This is very different from the run of the mill used emblems we have all seen with the brass electro plating worn off. The burnished version was apparently done first: Ford part number S8WS-3849-A and this much more common gold version done second which carries a Ford / Shelby part number of S8WS-3849-B. This emblem was used on the driver side of the 1971 - 1972 Cougar hood and on the passenger side of the trunk lid in 1967 - 1968. Also used on various other Mercury products like the Comet, Cyclone, and Marquis prior to 1973. This will not fit on the fender extension of the 1967- 1968 Cougar. This Mercury script emblem is mounted onto the driver side fender extension. This is an original part still in the Ford box, engineering number on the back of the emblem reads C7WB-16098-A, Ford part number is C7WY-16604-A.

New Old Stock set of brushes only fits the Eaton brand of air compressor clutch. Pitts compressor clutch is the most common one starting in 1969. These are exact reproductions made from the original tooling.Ford part #: C8SZ-2979-A

These were originally painted argent silver with the back ground painted semi-gloss black, they were not chromed. This emblem was used on all 1968 Cougar steering wheels with the exception of the XR7-G.

There are several differences between this NOS decal and the good quality reproduction we offer. First off the red "7" is darker, second the "XR" is more brilliant, third is when you run your finger nail over the tiny raised ridges the reproduction makes a audible zip sound and the NOS does not, fourth is there is no adhesive backing on the NOS decal and there is on the reproduction, fifth is the reproduction is made of a much heavier aluminum stock than the NOS and lastly the NOS fits in the...

This adhesive plaque was placed in front of the shifter on XR7-G models with a factory installed four speed manual transmission. The XR7-G shift knob had a walking Cat on the face of the knob instead of a shift pattern.

Rare Cougar only GT emblems. The Mustang GT emblems had different stud locations. These were used on 1968 Mercury Cougar GT models.  This emblem shares the exact same pin locations with the 1968 6.5Litre emblem, so the factory could punch holes and installed the tubular nuts in the fenders of all S and X code Cougars, allowing either emblem to be installed. After waiting several months, these reproduction 1967 - 1968 Mercury Cougar Deck Lock (Trunk Lock) covers are now finished! The reproduction chrome cover shown here sports a very rare original Ford, NOS XR7 decal. The NOS decal is different from our reproduction in three subtle areas. The later run XR7-G emblems we offer are really quite nice, but they are all just a tad smaller than originals. This is almost impossible to detect unless you have a reference point. The lock cover does in fact provide a reference point in that if you use a new emblem you will have a noticeable gap around the perimeter of the emblem. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. In 1969-1973 they were used on the wheel lips mouldings. The 1971 - 1973 hood lip mouldings used the same screw but it was 5/8" tall.

Rear seat belt bolt, four per car used in conjunction with two red washer / spacers. 13/16" hex head, 1-1/4 inch bolt with a 3/16 inch shoulder. Can be either smooth headed or have a Heavy or Light "A". There is another version of this same bolt with a smooth head and no markings.

Concours correct dipsticks for 1967 - 1969 big block engines. These are exact reproductions of the originals with the proper length and oil level for these big block FE's. This is the harder to find tail pipe hanger as it was only used on dual exhaust cars. Will have usable but cracked rubber. Mounts to the frame on the left side of the fuel tank. Supports and holds the rear of the tailpipe stationary. All 1968 - 1969 dual exhaust Cougars, all engines. Ford part number C8WY-5260-B.

Crankshaft oil slinger for all FE Ford V-8's, starting 1958 until at least through 1976. 1967-69 390 engines, 1968 427-4V engines, 1968-70 428, 428CJ, 428SCJ engines, 1958-66 352, and 1968-76 360 engines. Goes on the crankshaft after the timing gear and before the timing chain cover. These are used hose clamps that have a tab and fold over on them selves. These were dipped in a rubber like substance to prevent chaffing. The ones that we have available do have some cracking or damage to this coating. It should be easy to 'dip' them again with the product that is available in most hardware stores. We normally see 2 of these clamps, or straps bundling the hoses on most cars. These clamps should fit a variety of different Ford and Mercury products, not just Mustang and Cougar....
