    Description

Set of 4 Chrome center caps with Blue background and chrome Mercury man logo. Better than original! These are held on by a sturdy plate and two screws from the backside which is much better than the original clip-on type. The Magnum 500 wheel was not available on the Mercury line-up until 1974 and it came with a red center cap, star-burst pattern, made from plastic. This brand new to the market cap is a great alternative for the many folks wanting to run an attractive, era correct looking center on their Magnum 500 wheels. The body is die cast and uses the plexi center found on the 66-69 styled steel wheels offered on the Comet-Cyclone-Cougar and Montego cars. Soon we will also offer this cap in the 69-70 Cougar walking cat design in red, blue and black backgrounds. These measure 1" high, 2 3/4" wide and fit all Magnum wheels with a 2 1/8" center hole without modification.

When using center caps on Legendary wheels, you will need these adapter plates.

*NOTE* Certain late model disc brake rotors and aftermarket rotors have a slight clearance issue with the dust cap and these center caps.

**NOTE** When installing these die cast center caps, keep in mind over tightening will separate the backing from the chrome outer portion. Instead of over torquing, we recommend a good threadlocker which you can get right here.

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
