They look pretty good, but i lost one because the little rivets felt off, probably the cause was overtighten the bolts. No big deal, ordered one more and is in the car since.

These center caps look great, but the top of the cap separates from the metal backing when tightening the cap from the back. I've even had them come apart in my hand. Eventually, they will probably separate and fly off, especially if you hit a pothole. However, there really aren't any other options on the market. I used JB Weld to basically "tack weld" the black metal backing plate to the decorative chrome center. Hopefully, they will hold up.

These center caps worked perfectly!! The ones that were replaced did not center correctly and it looked like they were going to fly off when the Cougar was moving. The new ones look great!!

Are two of these caps facing backwards?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
Just like the originals, all of the walking cats face the same direction; so the walking cats face one way on one side of the car, and the other way on the opposite side of the car.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
