This deluxe wood-grain two spoke wheel was used on the majority of the Mercury Cougars built for 1968 and many other Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars through 1969. Please email us for color on hand, rarely do we have more than one grade A in stock. Grade A will have almost no warping or lifting issues, soft and pliable and will not need repaint. Very hard to find, one year only part.

Good used pad available in most colors, please let us know which color you need in the comments section and we will try to accommodate. Grade B pads will be lifting at the top, be a little warped and have some missing texture where your thumbs often ride at 3 and 9 o'clock.

There are three of these rubber, glue on pads attached to the chrome horn center of every 1967 Cougar. The colored pads usually need to be repainted and we cannot guarantee to have all colors in stock at all times, please mention in the order comments your desired color and we will try to accommodate you. Good used pad that will most likely need to be repainted unless it is black. Not hard and crispy looking. Comes naked as shown.

B grade pad has shrunk to the point that the center section will not fit well and you may have to file some of the plastic away for a proper fit, it will be curling a little at the top where it meets the wheel and overall will be rather hard from UV exposure. Additionally, it may show some signs of wear to the texture of the graining. If you state your preference in the comments section we will try to accommodate you on color.

This little cover glues onto your spoke at 6 o'clock and serves to cover the gap between where your rubber horn switch starts and then stops. This black complete wheel is a rare find. This would be considered a B+ because it is not separating or cracking badly on the rim. The cracks shown on the 3 spokes would be much easier to fix than cracks on the rim. Notice how clean the chrome is on the horn bar. Check out this video

Good used center with no crack, missing paint or broken mounting tabs. This was used on all 1969 Cougars with a three spoke wheel except the XR7.

Regardless of what you have been told these emblems were never chromed. We do not have any of these in stock, probably will not get any more but we post this so as to give you a reference as to what color they should be.

This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. We can pretty much guarantee one if not both of the two mounting studs will be broken but because of the way it fits into the recess of the steering wheel pad, gluing it into place is not a problem. We rarely have an emblem this nice in stock for more than a few weeks of any one year as the tail was prone to breaking off as well as the "cats" other limbs. This little emblem was used only on the two spoke steering wheels from 1969 - 1973. This is one of the smallest "Cougar" emblems ever put on a Mercury Cougar. Only the 70-73 two spoke cat and xr7-G shift handle Cougar was smaller. It is also the most delicate! Very unusual to find the tail and all limbs intact on this fragile little kitty. Silver spray paint will make this cat look new again, they did not have a chrome finish from the factory. Now that we have reproduced this emblem there is little incentive to purchase this over-priced used emblem.

Very rare more common version of the XR7-G steering wheel gold plated emblem. This is very different from the run of the mill used emblems we have all seen with the brass electro plating worn off. The burnished version was apparently done first: Ford part number S8WS-3849-A and this much more common gold version done second which carries a Ford / Shelby part number of S8WS-3849-B.
