These differ from 68-69 in that there is no starter safety switch embedded in them. This is a used part, tested, lubed, and working. There is an active thread on the Classic Cougar Community Forum discussing tilt columns and trouble shooting.

Part stamped with casting number D2AE-6023-BA. The smaller more common version will also fit and look better in our opinion. Replaces Ford part D2AE-6023-BA.

Used replacement toggle switch for the 71-73 Cougar XR7. This is a single throw switch that can be used in either the map or courtesy light positions on the switch assembly.

C7WB-13713-A New old stock XR-7 dash toggle switch for the "Panel" light on the 1967-68 Cougar. This switch has the black plug, and it will work for the "Courtesy" light switch too, those are typically have red plugs though.

This is an upgraded version from what you see in our video but the idea is the same. This tool has a square hole so you can use your 3/8" drive ratchet or breaker bar to get the correct angle and have even better control of your leverage when placing the torsion bar into the slot.
