    Description

These interior door release handles are the only ones on the market from the 4 different manufacturers that are indexed correctly. They are the updated design for 2019 that fits level and the chrome is excellent. All the other versions either tip up or down too far when placed on the splines. These were used on the xr7 model in 1967 and on all Cougar / Mustang models in 1968.

The casting number on the back reads C7AB-5422617-A.

    • quality
    • chrome
    • fit
    Cons:
I went back and forth between purchasing this handle & trying to repair/replace the broken spring on my original and boy am I glad I bought it. The quality is top notch: the sheen of the chrome, the crispness on the edges, and it clocks perfectly on the splines. The spring holds the paddle tightly to the rubber stop so there are no rattles in the down position and provides a great feel when you lift on the paddle to open the door. I highly recommend this part to anyone looking to spruce up their interior by replacing their tired door handle.

These are very well made and are very similar to the original handles. Chrome is perfect and fit seems great. I have not installed them but did check to make sure they are clocked correctly since mine had mid 2018 date codes on the package. Both sides sit level when installed on the splines.

I'm doing a complete resto on my '68 Standard and wanted to replace the pitted original door handles. I had heard that some of the repros didn't fit properly or would sit crooked when installed. I was pleasantly surprised by these. They install perfectly level, and the chrome finish is flawless. I can enthusiastically recommend these.
