    Pros:
    • Look & fit was great.
    Cons:
    • Screw didn't match threads of mechanism.
I have to admit that these door handles are not going into a Cougar or Mustang but they are going into my 1946 Ford 1/2 ton pickup truck. Since I have suicide doors on it I can't use the factory regulators because the mechanism hits the boxes for the suicide door kit do I had to use an electric window set up which left me needing some sort of door handle mechanism. I found a pair of units for a 1967-68 Cougar/Mustang that worked great & these handles finished it off nicely.

Purchased these to put on a 68 since there is a 67 interior in the car. Fit is good except that the allen screws do not fit. Is that because of the two year difference or stripped threads? Good question but that is the only reason a gave this item a 4/5 stars on fit.

    Pros:
    • Looks pretty
    Cons:
    • Does'nt fit properly
Finally put this piece on my drivers door today. Doesn't sit level. One spline has it pointing up the other has it pointing down. Put the old one back on - sits perfectly level! Ended up using my old one. It's a little pitted but at least it's straight. I would have to say that I'm disappointed and frustrated with the quality of many of the reproduction parts I have bought for my Cougar (many of them I have been collecting for years). They look nice (in the packaging) but either don't fit or don't work properly. Most need some sort of work to make fit/work. Some have ended up in the trash. It's great that WCCC allow customer reviews like this. I always will read the reviews before ordering a part from now on.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
