    Description

New item as of February 2021! These are sold as a pair, the mounting hardware kit is sold separately. These anodized bright dip mouldings are much closer to the original design than our Premium Stainless mouldings. They are side specific (The more rounded edge mounts towards the rear and the flatter edge mounts towards the front) and will not fit on a 1970 model (due to the increased size of the wheel opening) unless you delete the wheel opening mouldings.

Replaces Ford moulding part numbers C9WY-6510176-A and C9WY-6510177-A

    Pros:
    Cons:
These look OK, good for a car that is going to be driven. I laid these next to an NOS pair I have and the difference is clear, but at this price, hard to fault. Use these and the Mustang wheel arch trims for cars that are going to be driven. They look good, and only a CCOA judge would care, but don'r think you'll fool anyone at a show. Save the NOS for your big $ restorations.

I haven't yet installed these rocker molding trims yet but they look great and will be an upgrade to my 69 XR 7 convertible. My originals are very ruff and I replaced them with 68 repro in 2008. Most people don't notice but I do and this will add to my cars originallity

    Question
    Asked:

These look very similar to the ones on my 70 mustang coupe. I was wondering if they might be the same?

    WCCC Response:

These are a 1969 Cougar specific part, and will not even fit on a 1970 Cougar (due to the increased size of the wheel opening) unless you delete the wheel opening mouldings. The 1970 Mustang is shorter than the 1969 or 1970 Cougar (almost 9 inches shorter than the 1970 Cougar).

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...

I have been a cougar owner for just shy of 30 years, I have been dealing with part problems for a very long time. The people at WCCC have always be honest, and overly helpfull. I now have a 1970 XR-7 mostly rebuilt, and my son has a 1968 base...
