Description

This is the best made, most correct Mercury Cougar trunk mat on the market (Mustang mats will not fit). Made of heavy die-cut vinyl with correct gray and black plaid pattern by Auto Custom Carpets. Do NOT confuse this with the light duty mat you will see elsewhere listed for the same money or less. The budget mats you see elsewhere weigh only a few ounces and flail around inside your trunk every time you close the lid! The pattern will not smudge or wear off easily and it will lay flat and fit perfect the first time. The budget mats are made of light duty table cloth material and have to be glued to stay in place. Keep in mind correct installation requires trunk filler boards. Note that no Cougar ever came with a spare tire cover but we do sell them separate in both 14" and 15".

I made a mistake earlier this year and bought the cheap one and it was for a mustang. Made it work but was not happy with it. Added a kick ASS! Sound system with a custom sub box and recently installed sound deading and decided to order proper mat. The color is not a match to spare cover but very impressed with quality and thickness! Not you picnic table cover and fits very well! Two thumbs up guys and gals!!!

Seems to fit good. The only issue I see is, it doesn't have the cut out for the spare tire hold down. So, if you have your original, keep it for a template.
