    Description

    Please Note:

Many used items in our picture(s) have been cleaned and/or bead blasted prior to being photographed to show condition and detail. The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned. We do not retake pictures each time a used item sells. Pictures are a good indicator of what you will receive, but not all used parts age the same. On high dollar parts, email us and we can send a few pictures of the actual part available.

"Core" Items: If we use the word "Core" in the title of the product, the item has been deemed rebuildable, but has not been rebuilt.  The item you receive, in most circumstances, will be pulled from the donor car and shipped to you without being cleaned.

    Question
    Asked:
What is the distance between the water pump mounting surface and the fan mounting surface? Also, what is the overall length of the clutch assembly to the point nearest the radiator? I am checking to see if this will fit a 1969 Torino with 351W and a 24" stock radiator. Do you have pictures of the actual fan clutch for sale? Thanks

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:

We have around a dozen of these in stock and the pics online are a good representation of what you will get. That being said, we cannot warrantee these as we can't really test them.

Unless you really want a clutch with the Ford part numbers on it, we would actually recommend upgrading to the new 428CJ clutch and fan kit: Item # 33661

Visually you cannot tell the difference, as the only difference is the spacing of where the fan mounts to the clutch and the fan blades are slightly longer, but still fit in a stock fan shroud. The recommended kit is the reproduction of what would have come on the 69 Torino if it came from the factory with the 428CJ. The reproduction 428CJ fan clutch seems to outlast the reproduction of the 289/302/351/390 fan clutches. We are out of stock of the kit at the moment but should be back in stock in a day or so.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
