Application 1967 - 1968 - 1969 Cougar with either 289 / 302 / 351w engines with air conditioning. After 9-11-66. Casting number 7AD. 5" diameter and a 3/8" sheave width.

Application, 1967 - 1968 - 1969 - 1970 390 / 428CJ engines with air conditioning. Casting number AF. 5-3/4" diameter and 5/16" sheave width.

Application 1967 289 engines with air conditioning early cars built prior to 9-11-66. Casting number AA. 5-1/4" diameter and 3/8" sheave width.

Application 390 engines without air conditioning but with a dual belt alternator. Casting number AG 4-5/8" diameter and a 7/16" sheave width. This is an increasingly difficult pulley to find these days. A good option is the 6AA pulley. The size difference is less than 1/8" and you cannot visually tell the difference.

The 289 used a transverse muffler with hangers on either end and dual exhaust was not an option. The 289 Cougars for 1967 also did not use a tail pipe hanger like their 390 brethren did, the tail pipes were free hanging. We have observed in the many 1967 parts cars in our yard that many Cougars have had an after market tail pipe hanger installed at some point. Many Cougars have a hanger welded or bolted to the passenger side tie down bracket.

Band or ring style factory exhaust pipe clamp. For 2 inch outside diameter exhaust pipes. Comes with a course sheet metal type threaded hex head bolt. Ford part number C5DA-5A272-B. *Note all 1967 & 1968 Cougars had 2 inch tailpipes from the factory. Check the outside diameter of your current tailpipe for fitment. Part number C6AA-5A272-A is the factory style 2-1/4" tailpipe clamp.

Includes the two muffler (aka resonator) hangers and two tail pipe hangers. Only the 390 got tail pipe hangers in 1967, the 1967 289 had muffler hangers only and dual exhaust was not an option on a 1967 289 equipped Cougar, even if it were an "A" code 289 4V. Will not be overly rusty and will have decent rubber still intact. We cannot guarantee that the mounting hardware will be included as shown on the resonator brackets.

Correct Fit and finish for 1967, and works for 1968. Connects the overhead roof console to the mounting bracket. The only difference between the 67 and 68 kits are that the 67 screws are chrome and the 68 are zinc. The zinc will discolor over time, so we suggest using the 67 kit on a 68. Stainless screw, most correct looking we have found. In 1967 - 1968 there were eight per wheel lip moulding, two per fender extension moulding, two per center grille moulding and five per hood lip moulding for a total of 50 screws. This 1/2" tall unique little screw was used on several different trim parts on the early Mercury Cougars. You will notice the reproduction has a larger head (The two on the right in the lower picture are repros) than both of the used versions typically found on 67-73 Cougars.
