    This attaches to the bracket mounted on the top side of your pedal hanger over to the clutch pedal itself. Notice that this spring is used with the old-fashioned three-lever spring pressure plates. Modern diaphragm-style clutch pressure plates do not need this spring assistance to push the pedal because the pressure required is even throughout the pedal travel. You may even experience "pedal trap," which means your pedal will stay on the floor board once depressed.
