Used dash pad clip for any 1969-70 Mercury Cougar or Ford Mustang. This clip attaches to the steel dash assembly. The lower portion of the padded dashes just above the glove box door and steering column is where they attach. We have seen anywhere from 2-4 or zero of these clips installed on 1969-70 Cougars. According to Bill Q. these clips prevent the sharp dash pad screws from coming into contact with wiring or wiring harnesses. His go-around is to only use blunt screws (without a point) for the lower dash pad installations. Very limited quantity.
