This two piece painted trim set helps to secure the dash pad in place at the bottom of the windshield. 1968 Mercury Cougar used a slightly shorter trim set due to the padded windshield pillar pads. The 1967 will work fine, all of holes line up the same. These 1967 trim pieces also have a smooth painted surface, 1968 Cougar pieces have a slightly textured painted finish. Our used pieces taken from parts cars usually need to be painted but sometimes will pass as is for a driver quality car. Will likely show a bit of rust pitting on the edges where moisture gets trapped. 1967 used chrome headed screws, the 1968 cars used zinc plated screws. A total of 7 screws are used for attaching. Ford part numbers C7ZZ-6504522-A and C7ZZ-6504523-A.
The 1968 interior trim mouldings will work fine in a 1967 Cougar. Hard to keep 1967 pieces in stock.
