This panel was used the full 1971 model year and early 1972 and is for use in cars with no rear seat seat belt re-tractors. It will not show serious UV damage with the "chalky look" and will have no extra holes drilled. This mounts at the top front corner of the passenger side rear interior panel. Ford called this part a "Cap - quarter trim panel upper". Fine scratches but great for the guy who wants original. The Reproduction does not have the II-DMI-6 lettering at the bottom like this original. You will have to carefully peel (roll back) the aluminum backing that is glued in place before gluing it in your mirror. If you use needle nose pliers and take your time it usually works fine. This three part clip was used on all four versions of the 1969 - 1970 remote mirror to keep the door glass from interfering with the cable.

Good working grade "B" driver side (left hand) mirror that most likely will not have as good of chrome as the one shown here. Since the wand is recessed into the door panel on the 1969 Cougar the wand is not prone to breaking off like the 1970 version which protrudes straight out.
