Painted engine oil dipstick as found on many 1967-69 Ford with 390 engines (S or X Code). Ford used several different suppliers and there are differences that show up in the finger handle as shown. From the top of the shield to the dipstick end varys from either 19.25" to approximately 20.25" (full, add, and safe marks are the same). The handles were painted blue originally. Typically the painted dipsticks were found on the non-GT (6.5 Litre) cars in 1968.
