This is the seat belt bezel located on the rear interior panel on your 72 - 73 Cougar or Mustang. Without it, your belt would retract back into the panel and you'd have to remove the whole thing just to get to the belt again. These bezels are very hard to come by, and we have yet to find anyone who reproduces them. Keep in mind that these bezels have been sitting for over 40 years, so the plastic has most likely become hard and chalky.
