This gas shock absorber improves handling without sacrificing ride comfort. A very good choice for the daily driver wanting a smooth ride with the response of a gas shock. These units are sold individually.

Is this shocked designed for the Standard or Competition(Heavy-Duty) suspension, or both? Is there a Gas-a-just repo version with equivalent length/stroke specs?

These will work with either standard or improved handling suspensions. They are a middle of the road shock that "improves handling without sacrificing ride". Many Cougar owners prefer these over the Gas-a-just shocks. We do not currently offer a Gas-a-just shock with equivalent length/stroke, and I am not certain if there is one that would work for the Cougar. For further questions about shock options, I would recommend taking a look over at ClassicCougarCommunity.com/forum. There have been multiple discussions about shocks, and there are dozens of guys who would be willing to share their thoughts and experiences.
