    Description

This is an "add on" console if you currently have a console in your 1967 standard model Cougar or Mustang and would like more from it. It fits snug over your existing factory console without damaging it and no hardware is needed so no drilling holes! Very comfortable for those long drives, the lid opens up for a spacious storage compartment and it has two standard sized drink holders. It does not interfere with your illuminated shifter lights but it does cover the rear seat ashtray located at the tail of your factory console. What I like about this unit is that it lifts right off and fits easily in your trunk for car shows or other times you may not want it installed.

NOTE: This will work on the XR7 if you do not care if you crush the sides of your console pad. If you install this on the XR7 you basically have to leave it or replace the pad because it will permanently indent that pad where it sits.

    Question
    Asked:
I see this add-on console is only listed for a 67. Would this work on a 68 console?
    November 2, 2020 5:20 PM
    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
It is not recommended to try this console on a 68, as the 67 and 68 consoles mount differently, which affects the height of the addon console. However, a bigger issue is that if you try to force this console over a 68 factory console, it will crush the factory console pad and could ruin it.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
