    Description

Since at least 2 speakers (channels) are required for stereo radios, this speaker system has been developed for classic vehicles that came with only one mono speaker. These dual voice coil "DVC" speakers will give you the best possible sound from your original speaker location. DVC speakers have up to 70% more cone area than the conventional dual speaker assemblies giving you improved bass response and 140 watt power handling. Both stereo channels connect directly to one speaker with dual tweeters. This speaker utilizes the studs used for mounting your defroster ducts in order to maintain a lower profile and avoid crushing the vent ducts.

I ordered this product even though no one had done reviews on it. Let me start by saying it doesn't fit the old mono speaker hole of the 67' non AC Cougar. I made it fit.....and a small portion of both ends of it are blocked by metal because its too long or longer than the original cutout of the dash. As far as the sound goes, I will say that it is a major disappointment vs. the price of the speaker. The only reason I didn't return it, is because I nearly lost my religion installing it, and didn't want to spend the time taking it back out. The sound is muddy, and to say under-performer is an understatement. Hope this review helps someone.

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
