This used voltage capacitor attaches to one of the lugs on the voltage regulator and the bullet lead plugs into wiring harness. Sometimes called a radio ignition interference suppressor, this unit is about 1-9/16" inches long. This is one of those small detail items that judges like to see in place. This little jewel is for all Ford and Mercury vehicles from 1972-1973 and used this "Motorcraft" marked capacitor when a radio was installed by the factory. Prior years, 1966-71, there is a Autolite version which has a part number of C6OA-18832-A, and it is 1-15/16" inches long. We don't have the equipment to test capacitors, these are not guaranteed to work.
Ford part # D2AA-18832-AA is stamped into the end of this Motorcraft capacitor.
