    Description

If your Cougar has to sit outside for any length of time this is a must. Not only will it protect from unwanted moisture but pine needles and other debris will be kept out. If your cowl already leaks then this is a great way to prevent the floors from rusting. Spring loaded T shaped fasteners make for instant installation and removal, attaches under grate bars so as not to damage paint. Very worth while preventative maintenance item.

I've had this on the car for a few months now; it has survived rain, snow, and sun with no problems. I unfortunately park where a lot of small leaves fall on the car and got into the cowl before I put this on. The four spring-loaded T clips work great to hold it securely to the car, and the foam padding around the edges keeps the water out while not scratching the paint.

I keep my Cougar outside and used to be after every rain there was water in the floorboards. No more. Just remember to remove this whe you go for a drive, or you get no fresh air ventilation at all.

    Question
    Asked:
Can you drive with the cowl covers on?

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:
These are meant to be removed while you are driving, and as far as we are aware are not tested to be safe for leaving in place while driving. That being said we have heard of a lot of people that do forget to take them off and we have not heard of any issues. Still probably not a good idea to do on purpose. You also should not run the heater/fan blower with these in place as it blocks the heaters source of fresh air.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:

I bought my 69 Cougar in Jul of '09 as a retirement from the Army gift to myself. From day 1 it had intermittent heating problems that I tried to fix. I changed the radiator, thermostat, water pump, and added 2 12 in 1400 cfm electric cooling...
